Schedule for SlutWalk Minneapolis 2012 to be announced...
General Q and A
Q: What do I wear? Can I dress however I want?
A: Absolutely! People in our sister Cities have worn everything from fancy dress to jeans and a t shirt to glam wear to fishnets and corsets. Wear whatever you're comfortable wearing but keep in mind the Minneapolis statute for public decency. The following is a link to the statute 385.160 which addresses public indecency:

Q: Why do you want me to register? Is there a fee to Walk?
A: We request that you register ahead of time to give us an accurate count for planning, safety, and budgetary reasons. There is no fee to participate in the SlutWalk Minneapolis event.
Q: Can I make signs? Banners? Chant? Sing?
A: Oh, heck, yeah! We will have some opportunities to get together and make signs, so you have the opportunity to meet fellow Walkers and share in the creativity! Make up a chant, sing a song, cheer....Keep in mind that this is a POSITIVE Walk. Hateful, negative language is not allowed, and will ruin the message we are sending out.
Q: Is this event family friendly?
A: Oh, please, bring your family! We want all ages at this Walk. Passing on the messages of no victim blaming and 'don't rape' to our future generations are a large part of what this Walk is all about.
Q: Is this event handicapped friendly?
A: Yes, it is. We planned the Walk with those who are in wheelchairs or otherwise unable to walk long distances in mind. There is ramp access to the Hennepin Avenue Bridge, and plenty of spots to stop and rest. Our opening and closing ceremonies will have ASL interpreters as well. If you would like special accommodations at any of our fundraisers or events prior to the Walk, please email us. We will try and make that happen!
Q: Can I bring my dog to the Walk?
A: Yes, as long as your dog is leashed at all times. We expect that your dog is well behaved, socialized, and that you will bring the necessary baggies for any doggie clean up. :)
Q: Where do I park?
A: The Walk will start in Hennepin Island Park. There is a parking ramp behind St. Anthony Main, and also a parking lot. There are also parking meters along the streets.
Q: Can I take the bus?
Yes! The buses will be running prior to the event, and will run after the event, allowing time for after Walk celebrations! The following buses will take you near the Hennepin Island Park: Buses 4D, 4F and 6U. Please refer to the Metro Transit website to plan accordingly for going to and returning from the Event.
